Camping

Gleneden Family Farm has six beautiful, spacious campsites spread across 250ha of organic, regeneratively managed farmland and natural woodland. Ideal for campers seeking an uncrowded place to enjoy nature, visit the farm animals and go bush-walking, bird-watching, creating art, mountain biking or just relaxing in an idyllic organic farm setting. Share your site only with family and friends or just be by yourself without any near neighbours. Our farm is an uncrowded, beautiful and unique place to experience farm life. Where you can amble past the cows, sheep, pigs and cattle happily grazing in the paddock,  swim in a clear cool mountain creek, go bush-walking, picnic by the waterfall or simply relax with a good book. A range of local, Gleneden farm produce and firewood is available at the Farm Shop.

Gleneden is an organically managed Land for Wildlife property. We ask all guests to follow the Principles of ‘Tread Lightly’ camping to help keep the farm beautiful. For your safety and the health of our land we have a no 4WDing (except to get to your site), fishing, or firewood collection policy. We ask all guests to respect our farm (it’s our livelihood), the privacy of others and keep noise to a minimum… so that everyone can be thinking, ‘Ah the serenity!’. Please also note:

'Tread Lightly' Camping Principles

Below are a few tips to help you tread lightly on our farm so we can all enjoy our beautiful landscape into the future. More information on the T.R.E.A.D. Lightly principles can be found here:

Travel Responsibly
Drive only on the designated track to your campsite. Walk or cycle around the farm instead of driving.

Respect the rights of others
Respect the rights, privacy and property of landowners, other guests and campers. Supervise children and pets at all times. Leave gates, property, farm animals and crops as you find them. We rely on these for our livelihood.

Educate yourself & be safe
Plan for your trip. Check for any legal regulations (e.g. fire bans, health warnings). Bring relevant safety gear, first aid and emergency numbers. Farms can be hazardous. Be aware of and avoid hazardous situations (e.g. snakes, steep areas, deep water, farm machinery and equipment).

Care for the landscape
Take care not to harm the soil, plants and animals on our farm. They keep the farm beautiful. Leave everything where you find it.

Do your Part
Check your campsite when you leave and take all your rubbish with you. Bring, or buy firewood. Keep soaps and detergents away from the waterway.
