Farm Tours

Escape to the country and have a ‘farm day out’!

Keen to show the kids a real farm, pat some animals and escape for a day into the clean country air? We invite you to come over to our place! We really enjoy sharing our love of the land, our animals and our farm with visitors and guests. Choose between our Explorers Farm Tour, Hay Ride Farm Tour, or a Guided Regenerative Farm Tour around the farm to meet the animals and learn how the farm works. BYO picnics by the waterfall and well behaved pets (on a lead) are welcome. You can even buy produce directly from the Farm Shop!

Morning/ afternoon tea of damper/ scones and billy tea is available upon request (for group tours only, $10pp). Please remember, Gleneden is a real working farm with many risks and hazards.  All guests need to bring a hat, sunscreen, water, sturdy shoes and long pants and you will need a reasonable level of fitness and agility for all tours.

Gleneden Family Farm is open daily seven days a week for Tours from 9am-5pm (except long-weekends – We’re too busy!). Weekday tour bookings are preferable. Bookings are essential.

Explorers Farm Tour (Day Entry)

Meet us at the farmhouse to grab your very own Explorers map and discover what’s happening on the farm. With 250ha of farmland, forest and clear mountain creek there is lots to see and kilometers of tracks to explore. Find the farmer, our farm animals (that are wandering around), explore the bush to see some local wildlife or have a swim in the clear mountain creek. Don’t forget your picnic. Gumboots are recommended for wet days.

Day Entry: $15 per adult & $7 per school age child/ youth.

Regenerative Farm Tour

Join us, the farmers, Rohan (Registered QLD teacher) or Fiona (Environmental Scientist) on a special behind the scenes tour around the farm! Pat the animals, do a few farm jobs and learn what ethical, organic, regenerative paddock to plate farming is all about and why farming and ecosystem ecology can work together for a sustainable future. The walk covers approximately 2km of farm tracks so a reasonable level of fitness and agility is required. Gum boots recommended if wet. Duration 1.5hrs

Cost: $15 per adult & $7 per school age child/ youth (min booking $150)

Hay Ride Tour

All aboard for a hay ride behind the tractor around the farm with Farmer Rohan as he does his chores!

The hay trailer hitched to the tractor can seat up to 15 people. Ideal for groups with little or easily tired legs. Learn about regenerative farming as you roll along past the animals, through the woodland and up to the lookout. There are lots of stops on the way so you can pat the animals.

Cost: $25 per adult & $15 per school age child/ youth (min booking $250)
